Day #14

Day #14
I am THANKFUL for my "ABILITY"

{this post has lots of links, be sure to go to them :)}

I have this weird ability of remembering things. Sometimes my little “ability” saves be from awkward situations, like not remembering someone’s name from high school that is talking to you. I can remember numbers like nobody’s business, but I think that my strongest is remembering faces. Not only in real life but from movies too. When I see them in one movie, and see them in other movies or commercials, I know exactly what movie they are from and a bunch of their lines and sometimes their real names…For example…

FACE RECOGNICIAN

•Yesterday I just {out of NOWHERE} remembered Michael {my love interest lol} from The Lost Boys {one of my all time favs} is also the DAD in My Sister’s Keeper! While watching My Sister’s Keeper, I thought to myself how familiar the dad was and it drove me CRAZY! How I seemed to remember it about a year after I had seen it is beyond me, but I figured it out, went to IMDb and BAM...I was right.

•One time for FHE My dad took my brother, sister, Tyler and I, down to Salt Lake to watch The Testaments: Of one fold and one shepherd. Before the movie my dad had mentioned that the guy who plays Kohor looks like someone, but he couldn’t remember. While watching it, I noticed that Kohor (watch this clip and you will know what he looks like. I couldn't find any pictures) totally looks like {but most definitely is NOT} Geddy Lee {The lead singer for RUSH!} Also, my dad’s favorite band of all time! CLONES!!
••A few weeks ago I was watching TV and a commercial {<--watch it} came on for Foundation for a Better Life and BAM...The guy in the commercial is none other than SAM {this is another clip because there are no pictures}from The Testaments!! IMDb…I WAS RIGHT!! WoOt!!

•While watching Signs I noticed that Morgan {the little boy with asthma} Looks and sounds just like MaCaulay Culkin..turns out, Morgan’s real name is Rory Culkin…THEY ARE BROTHERS!!

•My latest “masterminds of movies and actors” was Saturday! While watching TV at home a trailer for a new HBO series call The Pacific came on and I watched for like 5 seconds and I recognized someone. I don’t know his name on the show but it is TIM from Jurassic Park! All grown up!! My husband and brother think I am full of it, but I am going to look it up after I finish writing this post and let you know! Lol..

•Another thing I do is see that a lot of people I know, look like movie stars or I even tend to associate inanimate objects with things and even people. Check out my facebook page That Looks Just Like…

It really doesn’t do me a whole lot of good, but I enjoy figuring things out and being right! That’s why I am thankful for my “ability”

Day #11

WellI am behind on my THANKFULL posts. This is where my thankful list gets a little small in the explanation part lol. {I think I underestimated how hard it is to remember to blog every day…dang...I better get in the habit if I want any more followers right?}

Day #11
I am THANKFUL for CRAFTING!!!

Over the recent months I have become a crafter. While I have the 22 year old, married, own a house budget, I think I do an okay job! I haven’t been able to get all my crafts up on my craft blog  FROM EEK! TO CHIC, but I do have a house full of stuff that I have done. I have to give credit to all the blogs that I am subscribed to. I get a lot of ideas from them and put my own twist on things. It’s so much fun to make something and put it up in your house. I kind of feel like an elementary school student who likes to hang up all their art on the fridge. I have so many things that I want to do, one of which is open a boutique. I want to sell wooden letters, wooden signs, vinyl lettering, cabochon rings, beanies, scarfs, headbands, onesies, and hair bows and flowers. When my sister finishes school next month we are going to start working OVERTIME to get things made so we can start selling! I want to have like boutique parties {kind of like Scentsy, and Cookie Lee parties} Where we go and set up our stuff that we have made and people can buy what they want, and order what we don’t have in stock. I think we have the opportunity to make some money here! I’ve been making a bunch of onesies for my friends that are having babies and let me tell you how cute they are!! I just LOVE making things! That’s why crafting is such an awesome hobby to have!

Phone pics LINKY PARTY!! :)

So I've never done one of these little linky things before so I have no idea if I am even doing it right! But we will give it a shot!

I saw on Facebook today as I was getting ready for work, a link over to Love Stitched (which is an AMAZING blog by the way, go check her out!!) where she posted some of her random phone pictures! I LOVE phone pictures {simply because I always take THE..MOST..RANDOM pictures} It's hilarious to go back and look at them. So I decided to follow another link where the linky party actually was, over at The Lowe Family News! (Look how FAB she is! She dressees like a total champ!!) What an awesome idea I must say!! So here are my  RaNDoM PHoNe PiCTuREs!

Okay so down \/ there we have my
Pandora music. I was listening to my Enya radio, as
you can see on the left side of the picture. But look on the right and you will see
Why would that come up on my Enya station?! LOL
Here I am feeling SO relaxed, then all of a sudden I hear Lil' John..."HEY!!!" LOL

Picture \/ Below
SO My husband and I Live in Ogden Utah, and in Ogden the streets are named after presidents. So we decided to find Tyler Douglas (That's my hunnie) Street! Yay! We found it!! :)

\/
Look how cute my dog Titan is! (HERE is a link to his story :)) He really hates when I am in my craft room, so he started laying in the hall so he could keep an eye on me. Look how HUGE he is!! I just love this giant boy. Let me just tell you that I babysat my niece on Saturday, (she came over) and Titan just LOVES her! He followed her around everywhere!! And she just couldn't get enough of him. She is almost 1 and really loved him following her. He is WAY intimidating though, but she liked crawling under his legs.

Random Picture of Titan's eye.
My cousin Emmitt who is like 13 sends me really random pictures, like of lamps and shoes and stuff, so this is what I sent to him. (I was going to send him a picture of just Titan, but he is afraid of dogs, and I didn't want him to have a heart attack or something) Look how BLUE they are!!

So I get really irritated when people drive like complete idiots. Let's just say that I have a MiNOr case of RoAdRAGe! But there is an InSAnE DRiVeR in all of us. So I purchased these babies!! Head on over HERE to purchase!!
Since receiving them in the mail, I have been on a mission. To use EVERY SINGLE ONE! Take a picture of the ticket, and take a picture of the parking job! Here is one of them, Documented on Nov 14th 2010!

Muahahahahhahah!!
I will be linking up every Tuesday from now on!!
SSSOOOO much fun!!

**DON'T FORGET**
Check out the blogs that I recommended! Those ladies are FABULOUS!! :)
Well..looks like I should get on top of my "I am thankful.." Posts..since I am 6 days behind..OOPS! ;)

Day #10 I am thankful...

Today I am thankful for books! I LOVE books, and I have always enjoyed reading. I could sit all day and read and not get sick of it. Books provide such a great release, and they give you an opportunity to get away into another place for just a little while. I always think about "what if I were in that situation" or "wow that would be so much fun to do that" I just love books. :)

Day #9 I am Thankful for Cell Phones

Day #9
I am Thankful for CELL PHONES.

I don’t think that I am the only one who says this, but cell phones are the best invention…REALLY. I don’t even have a house phone. It’s nice to be able to be in contact with people anywhere you go. Not to mention how much safer it is. I feel totally nude when I am somewhere and I don’t have my phone with me, especially when I am driving. You could get in a wreck and not be able to call someone, someone could get hurt and YOU need to call 911. It’s just awesome. I love cell phones. Although sometimes I want to throw them out the window, it’s nice to have a way to get a hold of people when either they, or yourself, aren’t home.

Day #8 I am thankful for a reliable car!

Day #8

I am thankful for my car.

Although I just barely got my car, I am thankful for it already. My other car Scarlett wasn’t exactly reliable. AT ALL! In an older post Hard Lessons Learned: Scarlett Edition, I stressed how important it is to not get a car because its “pretty”. Never knowing if your car is going to make it to your next destination is really stressful. You begin to thank your car for arriving safely when there should be no question.
Cars are probably THE WORST investment a person can have, aside from investing in some project over in Nigeria that needs $5000.00 right away to start saving all their neglected animals. Cars lose their value SO fast. Take Scarlett for example. When I bought her, I paid $7500.00 and 2 ½ years later I got $2000 out of her. NOT COOL.
Having a reliable car releases a lot of stress on me. I can drive wherever I want knowing that it is not going to explode. The only thing that isn’t so great, would be the payment. Lol. I enjoyed my nice $150 payment. But we also had to put in a lot of money monthly to fix the things that were breaking, not to mention a $1200 clutch. So we’re pretty much even now. I love my Betty White.

Day #6 I am thankful for my Job!

Here I am frantically trying to catch up with my posts…lol. I guess Day #6 got skipped and didn’t get published or something, maybe I didn’t even write it, but here you go, my (supposed to be) day 6 post!

Day #6 I am thankful for my job.

There are a lot of people who are without jobs right now, so I couldn’t be more thankful for the job that I have now. I am a receptionist and accounting assistant for my step-dad Jay, at Intermountain Electric Signs! I have been working there since February of 2008, so going on 3 years now! I love being able to help out with whatever I can, whether it be vinyl, painting, or giving my opinion on something. I have so much fun working there and it’s nice to feel like you are some-what important. I’m grateful that I can earn money to provide for my little family.

Day #7 I am thankful for my home.

Day #7 I am thankful for my home.

While I was cleaning up last night, I was thinking to myself how thankful I am to have a home. Although its stressful maintaining things like the lawn and all that, I couldn't be happier with where I am right now. Before we lived in our house, we lived in a single wide trailer in East Layton. Although I am really happy for what we had, being in that place was way too small, especially with Titan. Decorating the house is so much fun! Crafts are what I love to do, so being able to decorate my house the way I want to so especially fun. :)

Day #5 I am thankful for the church.

Its already November 5th so I am on the 5th day of the "I am thankful" blog posts.
Today I am thankful for my church.

I am LDS and I can not be more thankful to be part of this church. I have not always been active in the church, but recently I have had a change of heart. The feeling I get from being spiritual is amazing. I can not wait to get the opportunity to go to the temple and be sealed for eternity. The comfort I get knowing that I can be with my family for eternity is really special to me. This life is just the beginning to something so much more. I can't wait to see what my life and after life has in store for my family and myself. The church gives me such a great feeling. I know that this is the true church and I can not be more grateful to be put on this earth at this time. I know that I have overcome a lot of obstacles in my life which gives me the courage to know that I can do anything. I know that President Monson is a true Prophet, and I couldn't be happier to be a part of such a wonderful church. :)

Day #4 I am thankful for my Titan Boy

Day #4
I am thankful for...yes...my dog Titan.

I know most people are thinking, uh, your dog? But I truly AM thankful for him. Even though he is just a dog, he brings me so much joy and I learn so much about being responsible and caring for something that can not really communicate with me.
Tyler and I decided to get Titan about 2 1/2 years ago when we first got married and Tyler was working nights. We were living in East Layton in a Trailer Park..Yes we had a great dane in a single wide trailer..lol. i Didn't want to be home alone in the ghetto trailer park so we decided that we needed a guard dog!
This was the first picture ever of Titan boy. I sent this to tyler showing him the puppy we were going to keep! :)

Titan was born on May 17th 2008! That would make him just about 2 and a half right now and he weighs 200 pounds and stands taller than Tyler who is 6'1! He is the most loving and gentle giant. He brings so much joy to Tyler and I, he is like our child.
I have never really had a dog that was MY OWN. So I was excited to be able to have a pet that loved me. When Titan was 8 weeks we took him to Don's Pet are for puppy class. I honestly recommend them for anyone who has a puppy. They do so many things for them. Titan knows how to sit, stay, speak, shake, leave it, stay, lay down, and walk great on and off a leash. It was only $100! Definitely worth it!

Although he drools, burps, has horrible gas and bad breath, we love him with all we have and couldn't be happier with him. He is so much fun and has the cutest personality, and is very smart. I love him so much and I am very thankful that he is in our lives. :)
Here are some cute pictures of our Titan Guy :)

I love looking at pictures :)

DEATH TO MAZDA 3'S!

I can feel a RANT coming on...

I don't know what it is but when I drive, I encounter THE stupidest, most idiotic drivers in the state of Utah. Not only do I come across dumb drivers, but I also come across the biggest BATCH {batch is my new word for female dog by-the-way} drivers as well.

The ones that are on their phones and cut you off and it doesn't even phase them.

The thing I hate the most is the stupid batches in the Mazda 3's. {Don't get me wrong, I have quite a few friends that drive them, and they are really cute, but there are just WAY TOO many of them}

THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! Seriously next time you are driving, pay attention to how many Mazda 3's you see.

When I was driving a span of 5 or 6 miles, I SAW 16, I repeat SIXTEEN!!

Holy crap.

{Sorry if this offends my friends who drive Mazda 3's, I am not talking about you at all, just the other 9 billion girls that drive them}

The girls that drive the dreaded Mazda 3 are usually the batch girls. You know, the girls that think their time is SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT than yours. The girls that their "DADDIES" bought their car. The "LIKE OH MY GOSH, NO YOU D'INT"
''Let's look in the mirror 24-7",
"OMG Like LOOK at this super cute Roxy sticker I just put in my window, just so everyone driving will KNOW that I am a GIRL" kind of girl.

The "Like OMG 'let's stick our hands out the window and admire our freshly slapped on flared gel nails {that look like shovels} just so everyone can know that I, in fact, am THE copy+paste, cookie cutter, CLONE of every girl that drives a MAZDA 3!"

{Just so everyone knows not everyone suffers from  MAZDA 3 syndrome. (My friends don't :)}

Sorry for that RANT post..I am just so sick of getting skuzzed off my stupid girls in MAZDA 3'S.

Day #3 I am thankful for my friends.

Day #3

I am thankful for my friends!

I really don't have many CLOSE friends. In fact, I think I only have 2 close close friends, a few close friends, but I have a lot of just friends. No matter the "type" of friend, I am thankful for every one of them.
My close close friends are like my sisters and have been with me through thick and thin and I owe a lot to them for sticking with me through all these years. We have had a lot of good times, and have just about a million inside jokes. But whether we are way close now, or not, no time frame can replace the great memories that I have with these people. Whether its, running from the cops and getting stuck in a boat, window tapping and being LITERALLY chased for an hour, B&E-ing into an ex's house only to be greeted by raging dogs, stealing 4-wheelers and pushing them through the neighbors yard only to run over their leg as we start driving them on the street at 1am, going to midgetville and blasting the oompa loompa song, recording how stupid you are while home alone only to end up in the ER, dying our hair with koolaid and it NOT COMING OUT, sitting on a couch for FOREVER, cliff jumping at Causey when we shouldn't have been, road trips with scary masks, almost being killed in cannibal town by a driver with road rage who didn't like how you threw a bottle of juice at their truck as we were going 80 on the freeway, throwing water balloons at cops only to be CHASED BY THE COP, awesome trips to Lake Powell with the "wave babes", Secrets that you haven't talked about SINCE the Powell trip, Pasta-ing someones lawn and breaking a chair while trying to get away, late night walks that consisted of putting soap in ponds and seeing your neighbor flip her hair around practically naked while standing right in front of a window with the light on, and stealing the rental car lol. We had some crazy times, but even though some came with trouble, I wouldn't change a thing!

As friends come and go, I can not be thankful enough for each and every one of the people I am friends with. Take facebook for example, I have over 450 friends. (not that that matters or anything) But I can truly say that they are my friends. No matter if I have talked to someone the recent day or 12 years ago, they are always saying good things, commenting on my horrible day, laughing at my stupidity, or giving me advice when I need it. Friends should never be taken for granted, and with that said, I am very thankful for the friends that I have in my life. Close close friend or just friend.

Day #2. I am thankful for my family

Day #2
I am thankful for my family.

As many of you know, I come from a GINORMOUS family. My family not only consists of full siblings, but half, step, and in-laws as well, along with both parents, their spouses and my in-laws.. But I don't classify them as anything but my brothers, sisters, and parents.. :) My family is probably the second most important things to me, only second because of Tyler, but Tyler is my family so I guess you can say that family is THE most important thing to me. I can't express the gratitude that I have for my family. They are so supportive in everything that I have done, or will ever do. We are very protective of one another and would do anything for every one of us.
The brothers and sisters in my family have a strange bond. We just click with one another. We could sit for hours and hours talking about the numerous things we have done, and things that we want and will do. I am really happy to say that my family consists of some of the best friends I could ask for. Thanks for being so supportive and loving! I love you guys! :)

I am thankful. Day #1

(I really did write this yesterday, I just didn't have time to post it :))
I was inspired by a friend of mine, Mia, to do this "I am thankful" section of my blog. (Thanks Mia!!) In these times, it's really easy to forget that a lot of people don't have what we do, and in return we should be thankful for what we have. I decided to write a blog every day about something that I am thankful for, all the way till Thanksgiving day. This year Thanksgiving is on the 25th, so I get to share with you, 25 things that I am thankful for.

Day #1
I am thankful for my Husband.

Tyler and I in Yellowstonein 07 I believe

I really never stop thinking about how thankful I am to have a husband like mine. Tyler and I have been "together" for a week shy of 6 years today. We started dating November 8th 2004, when we were juniors in high school, and have been inseparable ever since. Tyler is my best friend, my rock, and my soul mate. He is so wonderful. He treats me like a princess every day, and I could not love him more. I am not shy to say that I am a brat at times, and I would probably smack myself at times if I could see how I act, but Tyler always finds a way to calm me down when I am upset, crying, or just plain freaking out. He has such tolerance for me, which could be hard at times. I could not be happier where we are in our marriage, and we grow closer every day. We both can't wait for the day we can be sealed in the temple for eternity. Eternity is a long time, and I couldn't be happier to spend it with Tyler. :)

PS: Ty is leaving tomorrow to go hunting for a week. :( SAD. Hopefully he gets an elk!AND Today is my little brother TALON's birthday! He is 12! I can't believe how grown up my brothers and sisters are getting. WEIRD! Happy Birthday Tally! Love you!
