Interesting Month..lol

What an interesting month…that’s all I can really say. Here is a fair warning that this post is going to be really long.

Let me think of where to start.. We’ll start with the Lasagna Hand..

Okay so when we first moved into our house, like the first thing we did was tile down in the laundry room because it was disgusting. So anyway. Thanks to Mike and Taylor it only took like a day. Then we moved our new washer and dryer down there. There are a few things that I would like to complain about down there, lol. First off, there are SO many holes in the sheetrock, it’s scary. You can see the cement foundation. Why these weren’t fixed before we moved in, I don’t know. But anyway, not only is the sheet rock messed up, but the hose that comes off the dryer and goes outside is facing the wrong way. So when it’s hooked up to the dryer, it has to stand like a foot away from the wall so it doesn’t smash that hose. It looks retarded. Before the “lasagna hand incident’’ happened, we planned on re-doing those walls anyways. But now we get to do it sooner than we thought! But now I will tell you this disgusting story lol. So a couple weeks ago I was watering my flowers that I had just planted, and my lilac bushes that we transported. So I was watering away, and got a little carried away with the hose, spraying off the 2 giant windows in the front of our house, along with the driveway, the patio, in between the front door and the glass door, the garage door, and the RV pad lol. I LOVE cleaning with the hose. So anyway, when I was done, I went inside and went down to the laundry room to get some tiles that we had left over, so I could paint on them. (one of my million projects) So I’m down there and I smell something out of place. You know when you spray off cement, or a garage with a hose, and it smells like musky? That is like one of my favorite summer smells by the way and I knew I shouldn’t be smelling that inside the house. So I start investigating and I look behind the washer and dryer and it’s black. I was like what the heck.. So I walk over there and I look and there is about an inch of water. I was like WHAT THE..WHERE IS THAT COMING FROM?! Then I look down and coming out of the sheetrock is this thing. Seriously it looked like someone made a life sized hand out of lasagna noodles. It was the sickest thing I have seen. I really should have taken a picture to show you. So I screamed up to Tyler and he came running down and I showed him, and he was like what in the heck. I told him to touch it and he refused lol, so I grabbed a hanger and poked it. I half expected it to grab the hanger. But nothing happened lol. So we decided to see where the water was coming from. We thought it was coming from the outside because I had just over done it with the hose. So I was freaking out. That would have been so expensive to fix. But I finally got back behind there and looked on the back of the washer. There was rust coming from the hot water hose. So we turned on the hot water and sure enough it was leaking. We NEVER use hot water to wash clothes. But I guess the time I wanted to wash my whites and use bleach it started leaking then, and since NOBODY noticed it. What the? How was that possible? We go down there every single day. Anyways, so we had to shut off the hot water. Then we moved to washer and I crawled back there and started cleaning. Let me just tell you, that was THE sickest thing I have ever done in my whole life. There was wet, nasty mole everywhere, and the drain was clogged. We had to pull up 5 tiles because the water and mold had gotten under there too. The smell was awful! I would rather clean up fecal matter mixed with vomit, than have to do that again. I was so emotional when I had to do it. It was so hot, and muggy, it smelled like death, and not to mention a spider was like trying to attack me when I was wedged back there and couldn’t move, and Tyler just laughed at me. NOT FUNNY. Well now it is..but it wasn’t when it was happening. But I successfully got all of it cleaned up and we put bleach everywhere to make sure it doesn’t grow back. Now we just have to replace the sheetrock. Then I can paint it down there and make it way cute! I’m way excited!! Later that day, the toilet got clogged. NOTHING was working. Not even the plunger. Every time you would plunge, it would flip inside out, it was so frustrating. So we called Josh, who lives in the basement to come up and help us. Tyler and Josh took the toilet off the floor and surprises went everywhere!! I could hear gagging and heaving, and I was so glad that I didn’t have any part in that. Tyler came out almost puking and told me what was clogging it…a huge ball of Q-tips!! Guilty, But I couldn’t help but laugh. So for starters, NEVER put q-tips in the toilet! “) So that whole day could have been on an episode of Dirty Jobs! I’m glad that day was over fast! But now everything is up and running!!

There was also a ton of drama that happened shortly after all this, but I really don’t care to much about it to waste my time writing about it. So that’s pretty much all I’m going to say.

A while back my grandma’s brother Paul, purchased a new house. He still hasn’t moved out of his old house, and he is trying to get rid of a bunch of stuff he has. So on Monday Tyler and I picked up my dad, and borrowed Jodie’s truck and headed down to Murray to pick up his cabinets! We have been looking for some reasonable priced cabinets so we can re-do our kitchen. The kitchen is ridiculously out dated and need’s to have a face lift! But we are so tight on money right now we can’t spend a fortune. So free cabinets?! HECK YEAH! We go down there and we have to wait about a half hour till Paul and his wife get there. We go down to the basement where the cabinets are, and there is so much stuff down there!! And It’s all vintage!! We got some way cool stuff, that I am excited to say that It’s been handed down. We got some cabinets, a snow blower, this really cool trunk thing, and my favorite lol, a window washer squeegee with a long handle so I can clean the front windows! Yay! I’m way excited! Now we just have to sand down the cabinets and stain them!! Remodeled kitchen here we come!! WoOt!

Another thing that we got on Monday was a twin size mattress. We have been looking for one forever lol. It’s for Titan. Ever since he was a puppy we have let him sleep in the bed with us. It was okay when he was littler but now he weighs about 200 pounds and its like sleeping with another adult male that kicks, and scratches you while you are sleeping. Not that I don’t love Titan to death, its just that he is ENTIRELY too big to be on our bed with us. We have a king bed, and still it’s just not working out. So we got him his own bed and blankets and stuff and HE LOVES IT! The first night was rough, and he whined every 2 seconds, and we got probably like 3 hours of sleep that night, but I am happy to say now that he loves it. The past 2 nights he hasn’t given us any whining or anything!! Yesterday I was cleaning and I put the mattress in the closet because it takes up a lot of room, but I asked him where it was and he ran through the house looking for it! Then when I opened the closet and asked him, he started freaking out and smelling it and whined because he wanted me to get it out! So how we can finally use our Nice quilt that my step-mom made us for our wedding! We haven’t been able to use it for 2 YEARS!!! And I must say, with our newly painted bed set, it looks way cute! Now if I can only figure out how to put my art on the wall..its too heavy!!
